‘Kirstine really knows how to cut to the bone in her songs.
Her voice hovers naked and fervently over the extremely minimalist, yet competent arrangements that leave space for reverberation and breath in the soundscapes.
Her melodies are precise and catchy to perfection, and you listen expectantly to each and every new note that carries the beautiful, lucid phrases forward.
Kirstine is former singer and songwriter in the famous Blue Foundation, and you can clearly hear that she has been a large part of the band's expression, which is continued and condensed in her solo project Sitrekin.
In Sitrekin, Kirstine sits in the producer's chair herself, as one of the very few women in Denmark, and she does it very well, she really has succeeded in creating her very own expression’.
