To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the release
of 'Eyes on Fire’ in 2022 and the beginning of Sitrekin,
she released a limited two track 12" vinyl with the songs 'Open Chest' and her very own remake of 'Eyes on Fire' - 'Eyes on Fire Remake'.
This vinyl connects Sitrekins past and present; 'Eyes on Fire' was the last track she ever released with Blue Foundation and 'Open Chest' marks the beginning of Sitrekin.
The vinyl itself is adorned with handwritten lyrics and Sitrekin's logo etched into the B-side, and is partially made of recycled materials. It is a limited run of 250 and all copies are numbered.
The vinyl was airplayed on KEXP by DJ Kevin Cole in his programme 'Drive Time', May 2022.
"It is of great symbolic meaning for me to release
‘Open Chest’ and ‘Eyes on Fire' together on the same vinyl.
The two songs are connected and mark a beginning and an end: ‘Eyes on Fire’ was the last song I released with Blue Foundation and ‘Open Chest' is my first release as Sitrekin as well as my first solo release in English since Blue Foundation.
So this vinyl is completing a full circle and something brand new can begin.
This vinyl connects the past and the future and celebrates the birth of Sitrekin".
